A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Maryn Erdman on winning a 2026 Division V State Track and Field
Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Maryn
Erdman as the 2026 Division V State Track and Field Champion in the
800-meter run; and

WHEREAS,
A diligent and capable individual, Maryn Erdman is deserving of
acknowledgement for her exemplary accomplishments as a junior member
of the Smithville High School girls track and field team. This year,
she secured the Division V State Championship in the 800-meter run
with a time of 2:12.31, and her noteworthy record of athletic
achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and

WHEREAS,
Maryn Erdman can always be counted on to shine, and her abilities and
sportsmanship have been important factors in her success. A tenacious
competitor, she has shown tremendous devotion to this demanding
activity, and through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired
countless people, including her peers. Indeed, she has set an example
worthy of applause; and

WHEREAS,
The unparalleled commitment to excellence that Maryn Erdman has
displayed in her endeavors has earned her the respect and esteem of
many. To her credit, she has demonstrated the skill, integrity, and
dedication that are the hallmarks of a true champion, and she has
certainly distinguished herself as one of the most talented high
school runners in the State of Ohio; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, honor Maryn
Erdman on her state championship and wish her the best in the years
to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Maryn Erdman.
