A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Mila Gelbart as a 2026 Division III State Track and Field Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Mila Gelbart on winning the
2026 Division III State Track and Field Championship in the pole
vault; and

WHEREAS,
A diligent and capable individual, Mila Gelbart is deserving of
recognition for her exemplary accomplishments as a sophomore member
of the Oakwood High School girls track and field team. An exceptional
athlete, she placed first at this year's Division III State Meet with
a height of 12 feet, 10 inches, and her notable record of personal
achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS,
Through her participation in track and field, Mila Gelbart has
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her
throughout her life. Indeed, she has inspired countless people to
excel in various areas of endeavor, and she has set an example worthy
of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and
nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of
individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable
educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of
countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine athlete as
Mila Gelbart; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
Mila Gelbart on winning the 2026 Division III State Pole Vault
Championship and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens;
and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mila Gelbart.
