A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Jackson High School competition cheerleading team as the 2025 OAC
and OHSCCA State Champions.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Jackson High School competition cheerleading team on winning first
place in its division at the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference State
Championship and the 2024 Ohio High School Cheerleading Coaches
Association competitions; and

WHEREAS,
The talented athletes of the Jackson High School competition
cheerleading team are, indeed, to be commended for their remarkable
fitness and competitive drive, qualities that have figured
prominently in their impressive performance this season. To their
credit, members Abi Baker, Abby Barnett, Addyson Dailey, Alana
Stockmeister, Alexus Helman, Bralee Lyons, Breleigh Sturgill, Bryn
Denney, Bryn McGhee, Bryn Tripp, Brynlee Smalley, Cannon Stiffler,
Daycee Howard, Emily Wiggins, Hannah Pennington, Izzy Swisher, Jada
Montgomery, Keirsten Snyder, Kinslee Leach, Lexi Butcher, Madi
McElfresh, Mattison Robbins, Mckinlee Lizon, McKinley Riley, Olivia
Rogers, Addy Scherer, Olivia Taylor, Preslee Leach, Sophie Williams,
and Tayler Williams could always be counted on to execute even the
most demanding routines with agility, precision, exuberance, and
grace; and

WHEREAS,
Under the expert guidance of their coaches, Cortney Butcher and
Tiffany Boggs, the members of the Jackson High School competition
cheerleading team have trained tirelessly in order to ensure peak
physical and mental conditioning, and their exceptional prowess has
earned them many admirers. Participation in this sport has enabled
them to learn much about creative expression, discipline, and
dedication, and clearly, the experience they have acquired is certain
to benefit them in the years to come; and

WHEREAS,
Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led all those who
comprise the Jackson High School competition cheerleading team to
take part in many activities, and they have served as an inspiration
to their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of
pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their
families, their coaches, their school, and their community; therefore
be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the
Jackson High School competition cheerleading team for exemplary
achievement and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Jackson High School
competition cheerleading team.
