A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
The Ohio State University pistol team as the 2025 National Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud The Ohio State University
pistol team on winning the 2025 Intercollegiate Pistol Championship;
and

WHEREAS,
All those who comprise The Ohio State University pistol team have
proven themselves to be talented and superbly conditioned, and they
have gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for their
spirited and highly motivated performance. Throughout the season, the
expert shooters worked diligently to improve their skills, and as a
result, the Buckeyes accomplished their goals, bringing home this
year’s state championship, their fifth consecutive title and sixth
crown since 2018; and

WHEREAS,
Known for their drive and determination, the Buckeyes have developed
into a remarkably efficient group of sharpshooters whose skill is
equaled only by their exemplary display of natural ability. They are
a credit not only to their families and their school but also to the
esteemed leadership of their coach, Emil Milez; and

WHEREAS,
The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance,
and a positive attitude on the part of athletes and coaches alike.
The members of The Ohio State University pistol team have exemplified
all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and
out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and
good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration
of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, praise The
Ohio State University pistol team on its 2025 Intercollegiate Pistol
Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University
pistol team.
