A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Alayna Mendenhall as a 2025 OATCCC Seated Indoor State Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Alayna Mendenhall as the
2025 Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Seated
Indoor State Champion in the girls shot put; and

WHEREAS,
A senior at Washington High School, Alayna Mendenhall has combined
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good
sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete.
With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining
ultimate proficiency in her events, and as a result, she won first
place in the girls shot put with a mark of 9-10.25 at this year’s
OATCCC Seated Indoor State Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Alayna Mendenhall’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out
of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding
reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her
coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Alayna Mendenhall on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and
experience she has gained as a member of the Tigers track and field
program will aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Alayna
Mendenhall on her 2025 OATCCC Seated Indoor State championship and
look with optimism to her ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Alayna Mendenhall.
