A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Centerville High School coeds varsity dance team as the 2025
OASSA Jazz State Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Centerville High School coeds varsity dance team on winning the Jazz
Championship at the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School
Administrators State Dance Championships; and

WHEREAS,
The talented athletes of the Centerville High School coeds varsity
dance team are, indeed, to be commended for their remarkable fitness
and competitive drive, qualities that have figured prominently in the
squad’s impressive performance at this year’s OASSA State Dance
Championships, including placing first in the jazz category, second
in the pom category, and third in the hip hop category. To their
credit, the members could always be counted on to execute even the
most demanding routines with agility, precision, exuberance, and
grace; and

WHEREAS,
Under the expert guidance of their coaches, the members of the
Centerville High School coeds varsity dance team have trained
tirelessly in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning,
and their exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers.
Participation in this sport has enabled them to learn much about
creative expression, discipline, and dedication, and clearly, the
experience they have acquired is certain to benefit them in the years
to come; and

WHEREAS,
Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led all those who
comprise the Centerville High School coeds varsity dance team to take
part in many activities, and they have served as an inspiration to
their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride
and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their
families, their coaches, their school, and their community; therefore
be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the
Centerville High School coeds varsity dance team for exemplary
achievement and offer best wishes for ongoing success; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Centerville High School
coeds varsity dance team.
