A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Gianna Ritchie as a 2025 OATCCC Division IV State Indoor Track and
Field Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Gianna Ritchie on
winning the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches
Division IV State Indoor Track and Field Championship in the
800-meter run; and

WHEREAS,
A student at Lake Center Christian School, Gianna Ritchie has
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of
good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young
athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward
attaining ultimate proficiency in running, and as a result, she
placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.51 at this
year’s OATCCC Division IV State indoor track and field meet; and

WHEREAS,
Gianna Ritchie’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Gianna Ritchie on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in track and
field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Gianna
Ritchie on her state championship and extend best wishes for
continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gianna Ritchie.
