A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
the Louisville High School boys basketball team on winning the 2025
Division III State Championship.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Louisville High School
boys basketball team as the 2025 Division III State Champion; and
WHEREAS,
The members of the Louisville High School boys basketball team are
exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly
exceptional competitors. During the 2024-2025 season, the Leopards
amassed a 24-5 record, and in final tournament play, they overcame a
strong challenge from a tough Aiken team to win the 2025 Division III
State Championship crown, a first in school history. The unwavering
commitment of the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of
many, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and
WHEREAS,
Head Coach Tom Siegfried has demonstrated remarkable energy,
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Louisville High School boys
basketball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s
outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the
members have distinguished themselves on the court, and he has
received respect and admiration from all who know him; and
WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the
Louisville High School boys basketball team have gained discipline
and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;
therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
the Louisville High School boys basketball team on securing the 2025
Division III State Championship title and honor all those who
contributed to the success of this fine squad; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Louisville High School boys
basketball team.
