In February 2023, the United States Department of Defense, pursuant

Civilian Retiree Identification Cards allowed retired civilian

WHEREAS,
In order to access these sites, civilian retirees must now request
access from the installation commander and present a REAL ID

WHEREAS,
The new access requirements are significantly more onerous and
restrictive than was previously the case when Civilian Retiree
Identification Cards were issued and honored; and
WHEREAS,
Civilian employees of the Department of Defense form a vital and

Our "civilian retired veterans" deserve full recognition
