A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Harold Bozeman for his service to the State of Ohio.
WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to Harold Bozeman on the memorable occasion of
his retirement from the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, June 30,
2025; and
WHEREAS,
Harold Bozeman’s sterling reputation and dedication to public
service have been a source of pride throughout the whole of his
thirty-eight-year tenure with our state. Commencing his career with
the Ohio House of Representatives in 1987, he served as a trusted
sergeant-at-arms for Ohio’s iconic speakers Vern Riffe and JoAnn
Davidson, and he continued to set himself apart as a consummate
professional and an asset to our state’s legislative endeavors when
he joined the Ohio Legislative Service Commission in 2000. Indeed, he
has been celebrated for being an earnest supporter of Ohio and its
elected officials; and
WHEREAS,
Harold Bozeman has been one of the Ohio Legislative Service
Commission’s most capable ambassadors, and by giving graciously of
his time, skill, and expertise, he has demonstrated a praiseworthy
commitment to the success of the agency as well as to the
effectiveness of the Ohio General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Harold Bozeman’s expansive professional endeavors have been
instrumental to the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, to the Ohio
General Assembly, and to the public-at-large, but most of all, he has
been greatly admired by his colleagues and all those who have had the
pleasure of working with him. Throughout his distinguished career, he
has embodied the tenets of dependability, sincerity, and altruism
that have benefited his peers and his fellow citizens, and his
exemplary work ethic has become his enduring legacy; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, extend a heartfelt salute to
Harold Bozeman, a fine Ohioan, and offer best wishes for a happy,
healthy retirement; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Harold Bozeman.
