A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Brooke Chapman as a 2025 Division I State Track and Field Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Brooke Chapman on winning the 2025 Division I
State Track and Field Championship in the 1,600-meter run; and

WHEREAS,
A junior at Olentangy Orange High School, Brooke Chapman has combined
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good
sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young
athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward
attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result,
she placed first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:46.58 at
this year’s Division I State Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Brooke Chapman’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay
tribute to Brooke Chapman on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in
track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Brooke Chapman as the 2025
Division I State Track and Field Champion in the 1,600-meter run and
offer best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Brooke Chapman.
