A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Rania Brown on winning a 2025 Division I State Track and Field
Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Rania Brown as the 2025 Division I State
Track and Field Champion in the discus; and

WHEREAS,
A senior at Avon High School, Rania Brown has combined talent and
competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to
establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With
admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining
ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she placed
first in the discus with a personal-record toss of 153 feet, 4 inches
at this year’s Division I State Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Rania Brown’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay
tribute to Rania Brown on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in
track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Rania Brown as the 2025
Division I State Track and Field Champion in the discus and offer
best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Rania Brown.
