A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Faith Brown on winning the 2025 Division I State Championship in the
girls 300-meter hurdles.
WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Faith Brown on placing first in the girls
300-meter hurdles at the 2025 Division I State Track and Field Meet;
and
WHEREAS,
A sophomore at Beavercreek High School, Faith Brown has combined
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good
sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young
athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward
attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as a result, she won
the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.0 seconds to set a meet
record and took second place in the 100-meter hurdles at this year’s
Division I State Track and Field Meet; and
WHEREAS,
Faith Brown’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and
WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Faith Brown on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in track and
field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Faith Brown on her state
championship and salute her as a fine Ohio athlete; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Faith Brown.
