A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Madison Henkel on securing first place at the 2025 Division II State
Track and Field Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Madison Henkel on her performance at the 2025
Division II State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS,
A junior at Shelby High School, Madison Henkel has combined talent
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship
to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. A strong
competitor, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate
proficiency in her event, and as a result, she placed first in the
long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 9.25 inches at this year’s
Division II State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Throughout intense training and preparation, Madison Henkel has
consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that
are the hallmarks of a true champion. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
Madison Henkel’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding
reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her
coaches, her school, and her community. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in track and
field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Madison Henkel on her
personal success and salute her as one of Ohio’s finest young
citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Madison Henkel.
