A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Aidan Mahon on securing a 2025 Division II Ohio State Track and Field
Championship title.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to commend Aidan Mahon as the champion in the boys high jump
at the 2025 Division II Ohio State Track and Field Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Aidan Mahon’s accomplishments are truly noteworthy, for he has
clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his
mental and physical fortitude as an athlete. Indeed, he has
exemplified all of the characteristics which are essential for
success both in and out of the sports world, including courage,
integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of good
sportsmanship, and at this year’s Division II Ohio State Track and
Field Meet, he placed first in the boys high jump with a leap of 6
feet, 6 inches; and

WHEREAS,
By developing such remarkable prowess as a junior member of the Philo
High School boys track and field team, Aidan Mahon has gained the
appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans,
and the respect of even his most determined rivals. His outstanding
record of achievement stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation, and
he has inspired countless individuals to excel in numerous areas of
endeavor; and

WHEREAS,
Track and field events require exceptional strength, stamina, and
natural ability, and Aidan Mahon is to be commended for his
commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic
goals, he has certainly distinguished himself as a true champion;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Aidan Mahon on his recent
distinction and salute him as a fine Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Aidan Mahon.
