A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Kaitlyn Carr on securing first place in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter
runs at the 2025 Division III State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to extend special recognition to Kaitlyn Carr as a two-time
2025 Division III State Track and Field Champion; and

WHEREAS,
Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication as a
junior member of the Smithville High School girls track and field
team, Kaitlyn Carr has certainly distinguished herself as one of the
most talented runners in Ohio. At this year’s Division III State
Meet, she placed first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:49.44
and the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:48.87, and she is deserving
of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
Athletes such as Kaitlyn Carr exemplify the qualities necessary for
excellence in any sport, including discipline, agility, conditioning,
and focus. Throughout long hours of practice and competition, she has
consistently demonstrated the talent and motivation that are the key
to success in any endeavor; and

WHEREAS,
Despite sometimes grueling pressure, Kaitlyn Carr has consistently
maintained her composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, and
stamina in every challenging encounter. Time and again, she has risen
to the occasion, amply demonstrating her unflagging determination,
and she has set an example for others to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Kaitlyn Carr on her
outstanding achievements at the 2025 Division III State Track and
Field Meet and offer best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Kaitlyn Carr.
