A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Elyria Foundry on its One Hundred Twentieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to commend the Elyria Foundry on the auspicious occasion of
its One Hundred Twentieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,
Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the
Elyria Foundry, for throughout the past one hundred twenty years,
this fine business has attained a remarkable record of service to the
area. Founded in 1905, the company produces all grades of gray and
ductile iron castings for numerous industries and employs more than
two hundred people, and it also offers manufacturing training
opportunities to students from Lorain County Joint Vocational School;
and

WHEREAS,
The success of the Elyria Foundry is a justifiable source of pride
and an outstanding reflection not only on the venture itself but also
on its astute management and hard-working employees. Due to their
vision and initiative, this respected enterprise has earned the
gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied customers, and it is
truly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
Over the decades, the Elyria Foundry has enhanced the quality of life
within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this noteworthy
establishment maintains its unfaltering dedication to service and
achievement, it will continue to prosper and will uphold the
tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be
it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Elyria Foundry on its
One Hundred Twentieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the
future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Elyria Foundry.
