A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Indian Creek High School as a Special Olympics Unified National
Banner School.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Indian Creek High School on being recognized
as a Unified National Banner School by Special Olympics, October 16,
2025; and

WHEREAS,
This noteworthy achievement is a distinction of which everyone
associated with Indian Creek High School can be proud, for the
Redskins community has endeavored, with tremendous dedication, to
become a polestar for inclusivity. By successfully incorporating
national standards of excellence developed by Special Olympics, ICHS
has been selected as a National Banner Unified Champion School and
named to the ESPN Honor Roll, and it has embodied a culture of
collaboration, engagement, and respect for all members of the student
body and staff; and

WHEREAS,
Indian Creek High School has established a solid foundation of
conscientious programming on which it can build an even more
rewarding and productive future. By supporting the tenets of Special
Olympics, ICHS has become a fine ambassador for encouraging
empowerment, opportunity, and exceeding one’s potential, and it has
earned the respect and esteem of many for serving as a model for
other such institutions across the state; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are pleased to pay tribute to the
Indian Creek High School community for promoting social inclusion in
its athletic programming. It can be proud of its support for all
members of the student body, and we commend its efforts to encourage
meaningful connections and lasting experiences as a Unified National
Banner School; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Indian Creek High School
as a Special Olympics Unified National Banner School and salute it as
one of Ohio’s finest educational institutions; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Indian Creek High School.
