A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Bob Hinkle on his retirement from the Ohio Auditor of State’s
Office.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to extend special recognition to Bob Hinkle on the occasion
of his retirement as the chief deputy auditor for the Ohio Auditor of
State’s Office; and

WHEREAS,
Throughout his distinguished four-decade career, Bob Hinkle has
demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and
fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and
competence. Joining the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office in 1984, he
advanced through various posts to become the chief deputy auditor in
2006, and during his tenure, he was instrumental in the creation of
an electronic financial statement system, which was named in his
honor, and the implementation of the Data Information and Technology
Audit Group. He further distinguished himself through his efforts
with several professional organizations, and for his tireless work,
he has received many state and national awards; and

WHEREAS,
Bob Hinkle is, indeed, a remarkable individual, combining civic
concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the
State of Ohio. Always sincere and energetic, he has given generously
of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected
and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of
life in our society; and

WHEREAS,
The enthusiasm and expertise Bob Hinkle has shown in his endeavors
have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been
associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he
has provided a valuable service to our state and has established a
record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a
hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Bob Hinkle on his
retirement and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be
it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Bob Hinkle.
