A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Miami Fort Power Plant on its Centennial.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate the Miami Fort Power Plant on the auspicious
occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated December 11,
2025; and

WHEREAS,
Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the
Miami Fort Power Plant, for throughout the past one hundred years,
this fine facility has attained a remarkable record of service.
Beginning operations in 1925, the station is currently operated by
the Vistra Corporation, generating numerous megawatts of electricity
for a large region; and

WHEREAS,
The success of the Miami Fort Power Plant is a justifiable source of
pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the venture itself
but also on its astute management and hard-working employees. Due to
their vision and initiative, this respected enterprise has earned the
gratitude and appreciation of many, and it is truly deserving of high
praise; and

WHEREAS,
Over the past century, the Miami Fort Power Plant has enhanced the
quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as
this noteworthy establishment maintains its unfaltering dedication to
service and achievement, it will continue to uphold the tradition of
excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Miami Fort Power Plant
on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the
future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Miami Fort Power Plant.
