A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Officer Jason Keller and K-9 Officer Scout as the recipients of the
2025 NAWEOA Loyal Partner Award.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to Officer Jason Keller and K-9 Officer Scout
on receiving the 2025 Loyal Partner Award from the North American
Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association; and

WHEREAS,
Jason Keller is truly worthy of recognition, and congratulations are
certainly in order. A state wildlife officer with the Ohio Department
of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife for sixteen years, he has
given willingly of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what
was required or expected, and he has partnered with Scout since 2018.
Together, they are currently assigned to Warren County and work on
the division’s search, rescue, and tracking team, and they have
been exceptional in the performance of their duties; and

WHEREAS,
Consistently exercising sound judgment, Jason Keller has been
conscientious in discharging his diverse and challenging
responsibilities, and he and Scout have been fine ambassadors for
their vocation. Being selected for the 2025 Loyal Partner Award is a
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on
the two of them but also on their family, their supervisors, their
colleagues, their department, and their community; and

WHEREAS,
Jason Keller’s enthusiasm and devotion to duty have earned him the
respect and gratitude of his peers and of the community he has so
capably served. Indeed, he has pursued his goals in a painstaking
manner, never failing to overcome even the most seemingly
insurmountable obstacle, and those interested in a career in wildlife
enforcement could find no finer example to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Officer Jason Keller and
K-9 Officer Scout for outstanding accomplishment and salute them as
exemplary Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Officer Jason Keller and K-9 Officer Scout.
