A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland on its One Hundred Twentieth
Anniversary.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland as it
celebrates its One Hundred Twentieth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,
This important occasion provides an ideal time to acknowledge the
exceptional work done by the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Founded
in 1905, the organization has engaged in passionate legal
representation and advocacy through an array of worthwhile activities
and projects that have secured justice, equity, and access for
low-income Ohioans, and it has been held in high esteem for its
impressive contributions that have encouraged systemic change across
the community; and

WHEREAS,
All those associated with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland are to
be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless donations
of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or
expected. These fine people have earned the respect and admiration of
many and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship
worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
Founded on the highest ideals of professionalism, the Legal Aid
Society of Cleveland has distinguished itself by its commitment to
excellence. The fifth oldest legal aid organization in the United
States, it serves residents in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, and
Lorain counties, and throughout its history, it has maintained a
reputation for integrity, reliability, and devotion to service.
Indeed, it is deserving of the highest praise for its tremendous
endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Legal Aid Society
of Cleveland on its One Hundred Twentieth Anniversary and applaud its
staff and volunteers as outstanding Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.
