A R E S O L U T I O N

Recognizing
American Heart Month in Ohio.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th
General
Assembly of the State of Ohio are pleased to recognize February 2026
as American Heart Month; and

WHEREAS,
The Ohio Department of Health reports that in Ohio in 2022, 8.4% of
adults had heart disease, 4.3% of adults experienced a stroke, and
22% of all deaths were attributable to heart disease; and

WHEREAS,
American Heart Month is a crucial time dedicated to raising awareness
about heart disease and stroke, which remain leading causes of death
in Ohio and across the nation; now therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of
the 136th
General Assembly of the State of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,
recognize February 2026 as American Heart Month; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit duly authenticated copies of
this Resolution to the news media of Ohio.
