A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Worthington Christian School boys soccer team as the 2025
Division IV State Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to recognize the Worthington Christian School boys soccer
team on winning the 2025 Division IV State Championship; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Worthington Christian School boys soccer team are
exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly
exceptional competitors. The Warriors secured the 2025 Division IV
State Championship with a final score of 2-1 in overtime against Bay
High School, and the unwavering commitment of the players and coaches
has earned them the esteem of many. They are certainly deserving of
high praise for completing the season with an impressive record of
19-3-2; and

WHEREAS,
Coach Dan Roads and the coaching staff have demonstrated remarkable
energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Worthington
Christian School boys soccer team to victory, and their skills are
reflected in the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely
to their tireless efforts, the athletes have distinguished themselves
on the field, and they have received respect and admiration from all
who know them; and

WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the
Worthington Christian School boys soccer team have gained discipline
and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Worthington
Christian School boys soccer team as the 2025 Division IV State
Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this
fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Worthington Christian School boys soccer team.
