A R E S O L U T I O N

In
memory of Captain Curtis J. Angst.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio
extend our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Captain
Curtis J. Angst in their bereavement; and

WHEREAS,
Curtis Angst was a truly unforgettable man whose words and actions
endeared him to everyone who knew him. A remarkable person who
experienced joy, understood kindness, generosity, and loyalty, and
knew how to communicate his beliefs and share his strengths, he
confronted challenges and faced adversity with an admirable spirit,
and the legacy of care and commitment he established will surely live
on; and

WHEREAS,
A 2014 graduate of Wilmington High School and a 2020 graduate of
the University of Cincinnati, Curtis Angst was a member of the 121st
Air Refueling Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard, and he was taking
part in Operation Epic Fury when he was killed in the line of duty.
Indeed, he was devoted to our country, and the ultimate sacrifice
that he made to defend the ideals of democracy will stand as a
monument to his personal character. His valiant efforts were truly
admirable; and

WHEREAS,
Curtis Angst’s selfless dedication to the welfare of others
distinguished him as an outstanding human being and a leading
citizen. It is our sincere hope that his memory will be a source of
comfort to those who loved and cherished him, including his wife,
Mary; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the memory of a
truly unique individual, Captain Curtis J. Angst; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the family of Captain Curtis J. Angst.
