A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Anthony Oscar on securing the 2026 Division II State Wrestling
Championship in the 144-pound weight class.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to Anthony Oscar as the 2026 Division II State
Wrestling Champion in the 144-pound weight class; and

WHEREAS,
Anthony Oscar’s accomplishments are truly noteworthy, for he has
clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his
mental and physical fortitude as a wrestler. As a member of the Clear
Fork High School wrestling team, he has exemplified all of the
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the
sports world, including courage, integrity, and an innate sense of
the principles of good sportsmanship; and

WHEREAS,
By developing such remarkable prowess in wrestling, Anthony Oscar has
earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of
countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals.
Indeed, his outstanding record of achievement as the Colts’ first
state wrestling champion is sure to inspire future generations; and

WHEREAS,
Wrestling is a sport which requires exceptional stamina and natural
ability, and Anthony Oscar is to be commended for his commitment to
this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has
certainly distinguished himself as a true champion; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Anthony Oscar on his
state wrestling championship and honor him as a fine Ohioan; and be
it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Anthony Oscar.
