A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Avon High School winter guard on winning a 2026 OIPA State
Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate the Avon High School winter guard on being
named the 2026 Scholastic A Class Champion at the 2026 Ohio Indoor
Performance Association State Championship; and

WHEREAS,
A remarkable group of performers, the members of the Avon High School
winter guard have established themselves as truly exceptional
competitors by combining talent and spirit with the highest ideals of
teamwork. With admirable dedication, the Crimson Tornadoes have
worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency, and as a
result, they placed first at the Ohio Indoor Performance Association
State Championship; and

WHEREAS,
The achievements and leadership of the Avon High School winter guard
are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the
members of the squad, their families, their school community, and
their coach, Laurel Mitchell. Indeed, the members have developed
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie that they have displayed
proudly in all of their competitive endeavors; and

WHEREAS,
With competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are pleased to pay tribute to the
members of the Avon High School winter guard for a job well done. The
maturity and experience that these exemplary young Ohioans have
gained will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Avon High School
winter guard as a 2026 OIPA State Champion and honor its members and
coach on this outstanding accomplishment; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Avon High School winter guard.
