A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Regan Burke-Onda for outstanding service to the State of Ohio.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to extend special recognition to Regan Burke-Onda for her
loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and

WHEREAS,
Regan Burke-Onda is a remarkable individual, for she has combined
civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a
dynamic member of the Ohio Senate staff. Commencing her tenure in
2017, she served in such office posts as a page for Senators Cliff
Hite and Frank Hoagland, a legislative aide for Senators Randy
Gardner and Frank Hoagland, and a senior legislative aide for Senator
Hoagland before becoming the executive assistant for President Matt
Huffman and Chief of Staff John Barron in 2020, adding the title of
policy advisor to that role in 2022; and

WHEREAS,
Over the years, Regan Burke-Onda has given generously of her time,
energy, and abilities to assist the Ohio Senate and has demonstrated
a praiseworthy commitment to the success of state government. She has
provided a valuable service by helping to maintain the efficiency and
effectiveness of the legislative process, and without the efforts of
people such as she, many services that are currently available to the
constituents of our state would cease to exist; and

WHEREAS,
Regan Burke-Onda’s contributions to the Ohio Senate have been
greatly appreciated by all those who have had the pleasure of working
with her. She has displayed exceptional devotion, responsibility, and
enthusiasm in her endeavors, and we extend best wishes for the years
to come; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Regan Burke-Onda on her
exemplary state service and salute her as one of Ohio’s finest
citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Regan Burke-Onda.
