Congratulations are certainly in order, and it is fitting that this

Academy holds the distinction of being the 27th oldest preparatory
boarding school in the United States, as well as the oldest outside
of the Northeast, and it has long been one of the area's most beloved
institutions. Indeed, it has effectively responded to an array of
educational needs, and Western Reserve Academy has never experienced
a shortage of able instructors, efficient administrators, or diligent
pupils who could be relied upon to nurture and enrich each other; and

Since its establishment, Western Reserve Academy has played a
valuable role in helping the youth of Ohio to develop their social
and academic skills, and it has introduced countless individuals to
the benefits of knowledge, the delights of friendship, and the value
of self-reliance. Known for its high scholastic standards, the school
has followed the example set by other institutions of higher
learning, such as Yale, and it has set a fine example of achievement
that is worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
In working to meet the criteria for educational excellence, the
faculty and administration of Western Reserve Academy have
demonstrated great commitment, leadership, foresight, and support in
providing their students with the best possible education and in
promoting achievement in all facets of school life. With energy and
enthusiasm, the staff has worked diligently to develop and implement
a comprehensive, innovative course of study designed to improve
student performance, responsibility, and participation and to help
prepare each student to meet the challenges of the future; therefore
be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Western Reserve
Academy on its Two Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for
