A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the University of Mount Union engineering team as a 2025 IEEE
Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate the University of Mount Union engineering
team on placing first in the student hardware design competition at
the 2025 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
Electromagnetic Compatibility Society Symposium; and

WHEREAS,
The University of Mount Union engineering team members Emily Borroni,
Jack Davis, Thomas Elliot, Glauco Filho Fontgalland, Dan Foltz, and
Logan Gunderman are a remarkable group of young academicians, and
they are deserving of high praise for their success at the IEEE
Electromagnetic Compatibility Society Symposium. Indeed, they
invested considerable time and energy into creating an entry that
could locate hidden radio transmitters, and consequently, they placed
first in the student hardware design competition; and

WHEREAS,
The success of the University of Mount Union engineering team is a
fitting tribute to the excellent leadership provided by its advisor,
Dr. Glauco Fontgalland, and to the tremendous effort and dedication
displayed by each team member. The group's accomplishments are an
outstanding reflection of its talented members, and the maturity and
experience they have gained through their participation in the IEEE
Electromagnetic Compatibility Society Symposium will greatly aid them
in meeting the challenges of the future; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the University of Mount Union engineering team have
demonstrated their sincere desire to fully develop their talents so
that they might assume meaningful and rewarding roles in our society,
and clearly, they have displayed a degree of determination and
motivation of which they can be proud. We applaud the team on a job
well done, and hope that their exemplary accomplishments will
encourage future generations of students to dedicate themselves
similarly; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the University of Mount
Union engineering team on its exceptional performance and extend best
wishes to the members and advisor for continued success in their
future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the University of Mount Union engineering team.
