A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Keana Hunter on winning a national title at the 2026 U.S. Collegiate
Championships in synchronized swimming.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to commend Keana Hunter as a 2026 U.S. Collegiate Champion in
the synchronized swimming duet event; and

WHEREAS,
A member of The Ohio State University artistic swimming team, Keana
Hunter is deserving of recognition for her exemplary accomplishments
in her sport. At this year's U.S. Collegiate Championship Meet, she
won first place in the duet event with her teammate, Ruby Remati, and
she helped her team win third place overall. Her noteworthy record of
personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and

WHEREAS,
Through her participation in sports, Keana Hunter has learned
important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good
sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her
throughout her life. Through her outstanding efforts, she has
inspired countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and
she has set an example worthy of the highest praise; and

WHEREAS,
In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and
nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of
individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a
valuable educational tool. With sports playing such an important part
in the development of our young people, we are extremely pleased to
pay tribute to such a fine athlete as Keana Hunter; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Keana Hunter on her
remarkable 2025-2026 synchronized swimming season and extend best
wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Keana Hunter.
