A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Wooster Christian School boys basketball team as the 2026 NCSAA
Division 5C champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate the Wooster Christian School boys basketball
team on winning the 2026 National Christian Schools Athletic
Association Division 5C Championship; and

WHEREAS,
A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Wooster
Christian School boys basketball team have combined talent and spirit
with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves
as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the
Eagles have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency
in basketball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Barry County
Christian team by the score of 47-43 to win this year's NCSAA
Division 5C Championship and finished the season with an impressive
23-7 record; and

WHEREAS,
The Eagles' achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of
pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families,
their school, their community, and their coach, Nick Hinkle. In
leading his team to victory, Coach Hinkle has not only helped the
athletes develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in
them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, camaraderie,
and Christian values; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay
tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a
job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Wooster Christian
School boys basketball team on its tremendous season and salute the
members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Wooster Christian School boys basketball team.
