A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Kenton Ridge High School softball team on winning the 2026
Division IV State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to commend the Kenton Ridge High School softball team as the
2026 Division IV State Champion; and

WHEREAS,
The Kenton Ridge High School softball team has proven to be a
talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the respect of
fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly motivated
performance of its members. Throughout the season, the athletes
worked diligently to improve their skills on the diamond, and as a
result, the Cougars accomplished their goals, bringing home this
year's state championship by overcoming a strong Licking Valley team
by a score of 7-6, its second consecutive such crown, and finishing
the season undefeated; and

WHEREAS,
Known as a driven and determined team, the Cougars have developed
into a remarkably efficient group of players whose skill is equaled
only by their exemplary display of teamwork. They are a credit not
only to their families and their school but also to the superb
leadership of their coaches; and

WHEREAS,
The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance,
and a positive attitude on the part of players and coaches alike. The
members of the Kenton Ridge High School softball team have
exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success
both in and out of competition, including courage, discipline,
integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them
the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding
athletes in action; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Kenton Ridge High
School softball team on its 2026 Division IV State Championship and
extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Kenton Ridge High School softball team.
