A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Carsen Hostetler as the 2026 Division III State Champion in the
300-meter hurdles.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to Carsen Hostetler on winning first place in
the 300-meter hurdles at the 2026 Division III State Track and Field
Meet; and

WHEREAS,
This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Carsen Hostetler has
clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his
mental and physical fortitude as an athlete. At this year's Division
III State Track and Field Meet, he secured first place in the
300-meter hurdles with a time of 37.01 and also placed third in the
110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.16, and he is deserving of the
highest praise for his efforts; and

WHEREAS,
In displaying such exceptional prowess as a junior member of the
Indian Valley High School boys track and field team, Carsen Hostetler
has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of
countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals.
Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about
dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to
acknowledge his exceptional record of achievement; and

WHEREAS,
Hurdling is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural
ability, and Carsen Hostetler is to be commended for his commitment
to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has
consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks
of a true champion, and he has exemplified all of the characteristics
that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world,
including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the
principles of good sportsmanship; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Carsen Hostetler on
his tremendous performance at the 2026 Division III State track and
field meet and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Carsen Hostetler.
