A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Oberlin High School girls 4x200-meter relay team on placing first
at the 2026 Division V State Track and Field Tournament.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to pay tribute to the Oberlin High School girls 4x200-meter
relay team on securing the 2026 Division V State Championship title;
and

WHEREAS,
A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Oberlin High
School girls 4x200-meter relay team have combined talent and
competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship in
all of their endeavors. With admirable dedication, Alyssa Webb,
Aubrey Abeyta, Cayman Noble, and Olivia Hudson have worked diligently
toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a
result, they won this year's state title with an impressive time of
1:42.08; and

WHEREAS,
The achievements and leadership of the Phoenix are an excellent
reflection on them and on their coaches. The success of any athletic
endeavor depends largely on the ability of coaches to provide both
guidance and inspiration, and in leading their team to victory, they
has not only helped their runners develop their talents to the
fullest but have also instilled in them a valuable sense of
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to recognize
these fine athletes and their outstanding coaches for a job well
done. The maturity and experience the Phoenix have gained through
their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the
challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Oberlin High School
girls 4x200-meter relay team on its outstanding success this season
and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Oberlin High School girls 4x200-meter relay
team.
