A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team as the 2026
Division III State Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to extend special recognition to the Shelby High School girls
4x100-meter relay team on securing the 2026 Division III State
Championship; and

WHEREAS,
The Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team has achieved a
tremendous feat in winning this year's Division III state title with
a new school record of 47.76. The squad's strong performance and
drive to succeed have led to its outstanding victory, and it has
earned the appreciation and admiration of many; and

WHEREAS,
The accomplishments and development of the Shelby High School girls
4x100‑meter relay team are fine examples of what can be
attained by a group of hard-working young people supported by a
dedicated coaching staff. Throughout extensive conditioning and
training, team members Princess Timko, Ashley Montgomery, Karlie
Walp, and Madison Henkel have developed into dynamic competitors, and
they are deserving of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS,
With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who comprise the
Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay team, for they have
overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous prowess.
Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future challenges,
they will take with them the lessons of comradery, diligence, and
discipline; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, heartily applaud the Shelby High
School girls 4x100-meter relay team as the 2026 Division III State
Champion and praise the strength of this program and its
participating athletes; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Shelby High School girls 4x100-meter relay
team.
