A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter relay team on securing
the 2026 Division II State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to applaud the Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter relay
team as the 2026 Division II State Champion; and

WHEREAS,
The Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter relay team is made up of
outstanding athletes who have worked diligently to showcase the
collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year's
Division II State Tournament, the Grizzlies won the state crown with
a time of 1:39.67, and members Brooke Haude, Ashley Valatka, Jessica
Stoops, and Hailey Otradovec amply demonstrated impressive
determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement;
and

WHEREAS,
This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young individuals,
and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience that is sure
to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless efforts of an
exceptional Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter relay team
coaching staff as well as the support of their Grizzlies community,
these athletes have met the demands of an extensive training regimen,
and they have just cause for celebration; and

WHEREAS,
All those who comprise the Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter
relay team have set an excellent example of what a dedicated group of
athletes can achieve when guided by a committed coaching staff and
surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and boosters. These young
competitors have certainly proven themselves to be dynamic athletic
leaders, and we are confident that as they meet future challenges,
they will take with them the valuable lessons they have gained
through their participation in track and field; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Wadsworth High
School girls 4x200-meter relay team on its 2026 Division II State
Championship title and count its members and coaches among the ranks
of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Wadsworth High School girls 4x200-meter relay
team.
