A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Cameron Lindsey on winning the 2026 Division III State Championship
in the 3,200-meter run.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Cameron Lindsey as the 2026 Division III
State Champion in the 3,200-meter run; and

WHEREAS,
A member of the Oakwood High School boys track and field team,
Cameron Lindsey has combined talent and competitive spirit with the
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in his sport, and as
a result, he won first place in the 3,200-meter run at this year's
Division III State Meet with a time of 9:11.8; and

WHEREAS,
Cameron Lindsey's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his
coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is
certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Cameron Lindsey on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and
experience he has gained as a member of the Oakwood High School boys
track and field team will aid him in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Cameron Lindsey on his
Division III State Championship and salute him as one of Ohio's
finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Cameron Lindsey.
