A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Dave Chappelle as a 2025 Grammy Award winner.
WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to congratulate Dave Chappelle on receiving a 2025 Grammy
Award in the best comedy album category; and
WHEREAS,
In being awarded this prestigious honor for
The Dreamer
, Dave
Chappelle has received a true compliment to his exceptional
expression and creativity. For the third consecutive year, he has won
a Grammy Award in the best comedy album category, his sixth such
accolade overall, and he can be justly proud of this accomplishment;
and
WHEREAS,
Dave Chappelle’s high personal standards and unwavering dedication
to excellence have won him the appreciation and esteem of many,
resulting in much critical acclaim. He clearly has a special comedic
gift that brings joy to those with whom he shares his talents; and
WHEREAS,
As a comedian, Dave Chappelle has striven to hone his skills,
developing his craft with timing and enthusiasm, and his art has
given him great personal pride and satisfaction throughout the years.
He has certainly excelled in his endeavors, and we wish him continued
success; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dave Chappelle on his 2025
Grammy Award and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to Dave Chappelle.
