A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Urbana High School girls bowling team on winning the 2025
Division II State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to recognize the Urbana High School girls bowling team as the
2025 Division II State Champion; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Urbana High School girls bowling team are
exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly
exceptional competitors. To cap a fantastic season, the Hillclimbers
bested the Fairport Harding team at the 2025 Division II State
Championship, and team members Audrie Williams, Natalie Turner,
Jazmyn Scott, Riley Smith, Emily Fisher, and Mallory Stokes have
earned the esteem of many for their unwavering commitment; and

WHEREAS,
Coach Kurt Scott has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and
dedication in guiding the Urbana High School girls bowling team to
victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s outstanding
accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the members
have distinguished themselves on the lanes, and he has received
respect and admiration from all who know him; and

WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the
Urbana High School girls bowling team have gained discipline and
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Urbana High
School girls bowling team on its 2025 Division II State Championship
and honor all those who contributed to the success of this fine
squad; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Urbana High School girls bowling team.
