A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
the Orrville Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS,
The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are
pleased to recognize the Orrville Public Library as it commemorates
its Centennial; and
WHEREAS,
This is, indeed, an important occasion, and congratulations are
certainly in order. Established on February 3, 1925, in a vacant room
of the high school, the Orrville Public Library has experienced
tremendous growth and prosperity over the past century, and it has
tirelessly served as a place for inspiration and discovery for
innumerable people; and
WHEREAS,
The Orrville Public Library has become one of the community’s most
valuable public resources by offering numerous collections, local
events, and a statewide network of partnerships. Thanks to the
generous efforts of a host of area citizens, it remains an
outstanding facility for its patrons as well as an exciting hub of
language and learning that connects people through a variety of
programming; and
WHEREAS,
Those who have nurtured, directed, and sustained the Orrville Public
Library merit praise for their remarkable initiative, diligence, and
resolve. With a wealth of vision and vitality, they have shown how
very much can be accomplished by a group of conscientious,
industrious people, and they can be proud that their unflagging
commitment to literacy, education, and volunteer service has made it
possible for the library to flourish; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of
Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Orrville Public
Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary and look with optimism to a
bright future; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of
this Resolution to the Orrville Public Library.
