HOUSE BILL 1798 By: Kerbs

AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to poor persons; permitting
municipalities to make certain purchases from their
budgets; providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 3500 of Title 56, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
Municipalities shall be permitted to use funds from their
general revenue budgets for the purpose of purchasing one-way bus
tickets out of the State of Oklahoma for persons without a permanent
residence.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
