AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to waters and water rights;
authorizing the Oklahoma Water Resources Board to
enter into memorandums of understanding or contracts
with certain entities; providing for codification;
and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1324.27 of Title 82, unless
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
The Oklahoma Water Resources Board may enter into memorandums of
understanding or contracts with the Oklahoma Rural Water
Association, or with other Oklahoma-based not-for-profit entities
that are governed by community water and wastewater systems, and
that have an established and proven history of the relevant

expertise necessary, to provide technical assistance and training
for board members and operators in an effort to provide
uninterrupted assistance and services to water and wastewater
systems currently providing functioning water and wastewater
services to residents of rural areas.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
