An Act relating to medication; defining term;
directing the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to
partner with the University of Oklahoma Health and
Sciences Center to provide medication to certain
inmates; directing the Oklahoma Health Care Authority
to directly pay the University of Oklahoma Health and
Sciences Center for medication for certain inmates;
providing for promulgation of rules; providing for
codification; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 7500 of Title 63, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. As used in this section, "medication" means prescription and
over-the-counter drugs.
B. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall partner with the
University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center to provide
medication to detainees and inmates under the jurisdiction of a
municipality or county, and not under the jurisdiction of the
Department of Corrections.

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall directly pay to the
University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center for medication
provided to detainees and inmates under the jurisdiction of a
municipality or county, not under the jurisdiction of the Department
of Corrections.
C. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall promulgate rules to
implement this section.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
