An Act relating to courts; amending 20 O.S. 2021,
Sections 3.1, 30.2A, 31.2, and 92.1A, which relate to
judicial salaries; clarifying applicability;
providing exceptions based on certain future actions;
modifying salary references; providing an effective
date; and declaring an emergency.

SUBJECT: Courts

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 20 O.S. 2021, Section 3.1, is
amended to read as follows:

Section 3.1. A. For fiscal year 2021 2026 and each fiscal year
thereafter, except as otherwise provided by the Board on Judicial
Compensation after the effective date of this act, the following
judicial officers shall receive compensation for their services,
payable monthly as follows:

1. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall receive an
annual salary of One Hundred Seventy-two Thousand Forty-nine Dollars
($172,049.00) One Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Two Hundred Twelve
Dollars ($198,212.00); and

2. An Associate Justice of the Supreme Court shall receive an
annual salary of One Hundred Sixty-one Thousand One Hundred Twelve
Dollars ($161,112.00) One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Six Hundred
Twelve Dollars ($185,612.00).

B. Any increase in salary provided for in subsection A of this
section must be paid from existing available funds.

SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 20 O.S. 2021, Section 30.2A, is
amended to read as follows:

Section 30.2A. A. For fiscal year 2021 2026 and each fiscal
year thereafter, except as otherwise provided by the Board on
Judicial Compensation after the effective date of this act, the
following judicial officers shall receive compensation for their
services, payable monthly as follows:

1. The Presiding Judge of the Court of Civil Appeals shall
receive an annual salary of One Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Four
Hundred Fifty-nine Dollars ($155,459.00) One Hundred Seventy-nine
Thousand Ninety-nine Dollars ($179,099.00); and

2. A Judge of the Court of Civil Appeals shall receive an
annual salary of One Hundred Fifty-two Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-
two Dollars ($152,632.00) One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Eight
Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($175,844.00).

B. Any increase in salary provided for in subsection A of this
section must be paid from existing available funds.

SECTION 3. AMENDATORY 20 O.S. 2021, Section 31.2, is
amended to read as follows:

Section 31.2. A. For fiscal year 2021 2026 and each fiscal
year thereafter, except as otherwise provided by the Board on
Judicial Compensation after the effective date of this act, the
following judicial officers shall receive compensation for their
services, payable monthly as follows:

1. The Presiding Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals shall
receive an annual salary of One Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Seven
Hundred Sixty-five Dollars ($166,765.00) One Hundred Ninety-two
Thousand One Hundred Twenty-six Dollars ($192,126.00); and

2. A Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals shall receive an
annual salary of One Hundred Sixty-one Thousand One Hundred Twelve
Dollars ($161,112.00) One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Six Hundred
Twelve Dollars ($185,612.00).

B. Any increase in salary provided for in subsection A of this

SECTION 4. AMENDATORY 20 O.S. 2021, Section 92.1A, is
amended to read as follows:

Section 92.1A. For fiscal year 2021 2025 and each fiscal year
thereafter, except as otherwise provided by the Board on Judicial
Compensation after the effective date of this act, the following
judicial officers shall receive compensation for their services,
payable monthly as follows:

1. A judge of the district court shall receive an annual salary
of One Hundred Forty-five Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars
($145,567.00) One Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Three
Dollars ($167,703.00);

2. An associate district judge shall receive an annual salary
of One Hundred Thirty-four Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-one Dollars
($134,261.00) One Hundred Fifty-four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-
eight Dollars ($154,678.00); and

3. A special judge shall receive an annual salary of One
Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-four Dollars
($122,954.00) One Hundred Forty-one Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-one
Dollars ($141,651.00).

SECTION 5. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.

SECTION 6. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
