HOUSE BILL 3436 By: Wilk

AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to public finance; regulating state
purchase of electric vehicles; prohibiting the
purchase of electric vehicles if child labor was
used; providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 9002 of Title 62, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No electric vehicle shall be purchased by the State of Oklahoma
or its political subdivisions without verifying with the
manufacturer that no child labor, as defined by Sections 71 and 72.1
of Title 40 of the Oklahoma Statutes, was used in the assembly of
the vehicle or production of its components.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
