2nd Session of the 60th Legislature (2026)

HOUSE BILL 3600 By: Lepak

AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to state government; requiring
judicial rulings based on provisions of Section 32 or
46 of Article V of the Oklahoma Constitution to
contain specific findings; providing for
codification; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 452.9A of Title 74, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
In the event a court of this state determines that a legislative
measure violates the provisions of the Oklahoma Constitution which
prohibit certain local or special laws pursuant to Section 32 or 46
of Article V, the court shall provide written findings containing
the specific reason or reasons for the ruling.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
