HOUSE BILL 3789 By: Sneed
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to elections; prohibiting persons who
are a national of any country other than the United
States from holding elected office; providing for
codification; and providing an effective date.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-115 of Title 26, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No persons, without regard to whether that person is a United
States national, may hold elected municipal, county, state, or other
government office in the State of Oklahoma if that person is a
national of any country other than the United States.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
