An Act relating to legislative referendums; directing
special election on proposed amendments to the
Constitution and state statutes be held; specifying
certain date; referencing House Bill No. 4440 of the
60th Oklahoma Legislature; referencing House Joint
Resolution No. 1024 of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature;
directing filing; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
Pursuant to Section 3 of Article V of the Oklahoma Constitution,
a special election is hereby ordered to be held throughout the State
of Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at which time the proposed
referendums, as set forth in Enrolled House Bill No. 4440 of the 2nd
Session of the 60th Oklahoma Legislature and Enrolled House Joint
Resolution No. 1024 of the 2nd Session of the 60th Oklahoma
Legislature, shall be submitted to the people of Oklahoma for their
approval or rejection as and in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 2. The Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives,
immediately after the passage of this act, shall prepare and file
one copy thereof in accordance with Section 3 of Article V of the
Oklahoma Constitution, one copy with the Secretary of State, and one
copy with the Attorney General.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
