An Act relating to rural water districts; amending 82
O.S. 2021, Section 1324.31, which relates to
organization of a district; removing certain
limitations prohibiting the organizing of a district;
making certain exclusion; and declaring an emergency.
SUBJECT: Rural water districts
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 82 O.S. 2021, Section 1324.31, is
amended to read as follows:
Section 1324.31. Pursuant to the provisions of this act, any
corporation which was formed prior to December 1, 1988, may organize
and constitute a district for the purpose of providing rural water
service subject to the provisions of the Rural Water, Sewer, Gas and
Solid Waste Management Districts Act. Provided, however, that
nothing in this section shall authorize the organization or
reorganization of a solid waste management district pursuant to this
section.
SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
